Pet Portraits

This is often a joy, whether traditional pet portraits or playing around with new ideas and mixing media. Often the source material has been old zoo photographs for creating fine art pieces, changing things up sometimes and experimenting with materials.

Since late last year I’ve been commissioned for quite a few pet portraits, and though hard work it’s always rewarding!

Paintings on ‘gallery-wrapped’ canvas (quick drying aqua-oil paints).

Painted on edges of canvas so ready-to-hang, but not framed.

OR on paper, acid-free mat may be provided but not framed.

Children’s Illustrations

Both my wife, Marie and I have a childlike, silly sense of humour. We’ve probably had hundreds of little ideas for children’s book stories and jokes over the years. I also dabbled a bit in the past with creating some children’s “illustration” style drawings based around some of our thoughts, but we continue to have ideas all the time. My drawings here are from 2006-07 so quite some time ago, though it’s something to possibly revisit at some point. Here are just a small few.
